Larry Siedow has been a teacher and principal for the past 32 years in the Anoka-Hennepin School District just 15 miles north of the Twin Cities. Anoka-Hennepin is the state's largest school district. He has been coordinating and teaching classes since 1985. He has presented at seminars, workshops, conventions, and in school districts across the country. Mr. Siedow has never left the "real world" of education and has been a strong advocate of continued professional growth for educators. 1. Do these courses count toward lane change in my district?

Courses offered by Larry Siedow and Siedow Teacher Education are continuing education graduate credit courses by Colorado State University-Pueblo. The institution is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The credits may be used for license renewal and for lane changes in school districts. Please check with your individual districts regarding approval.

2. How are grades determined?

Each course has a set of expectations that are outlined in the materials that are sent to you. Students will complete the work necessary to receive a grade of "A or "B".

3. What are the requirements for the classes?

Each course has a text that contains strategies and techniques that will improve teaching and learning. All of our course texts are current and they reflect the best practices in the field. Students will respond to questions that are designed to promote thought and encourage application to the student's everyday responsibilities. The questions are practical and relevant and are not designed to be papers. The courses typically consist of 10 lessons and a Summary of Learning.

4. What should I do if I have a question about the course?

5. How do I receive a grade slip or transcript?

Work can be submitted during any month of the semester by the 15th of the month. Grades are posted monthly within 7 business days after the 15th of each month. For example: Grades for work submitted by June 15 will be posted within 7 business days after June 15.
